A Goofy New Low

·

There’s theatrical budget-saving, and then there’s MayorPaprika’s Bijou Planks Theater rolling out a brick-built Goofy while the real voice plays over the speakers. Honestly? I respect the hustle. The gag lands because the build is just close enough to be instantly readable, then just blocky enough to feel like a wonderfully suspicious stage substitute.

The face does most of the heavy lifting: tall white eye panels, glossy black pupils, the little stacked snout, and a head that leans into cartoon geometry without chasing smoothness too hard. The green hat is a tiny pile of angles, the orange vest keeps the silhouette loud, and the colorful Bijou Planks backdrop sells the whole thing as a community-theater fever dream. It’s weird, funny, and probably cheaper than licensing Goofy for one night. Guh-HAW, indeed.
