Sun, stone, and studs – Giannos_G packs a whole Greek island daydream into Seaside Delight. Built for the LEGO Ideas “Build your perfect vacation” challenge, this charmer did more than nail the brief: it took the Grand Prize, which feels pretty hard to argue with when the builder is literally drawing from island life.
What I like most here is that it does not read like a generic beach scene. It feels personal. The model leans into that bright coastal mood LEGO does so well: crisp architecture, vacation-color energy, and the kind of seaside composition that makes you want to hear sandals on stone steps and a tiny scooter rattling somewhere off-camera.
There is also something very AFOL-catnip about a build that understands atmosphere as much as construction. A vacation MOC can easily become “here is some water, here is a building,” but Giannos gives it the postcard rhythm: built forms, shoreline, and little scenic beats all working together. For a TFOL hoping to become a LEGO model designer someday, this is exactly the sort of storytelling instinct that matters.
Cheesy title? Maybe. Delightful build? Absolutely.
