Miscellanabuilds has a real knack for making LEGO characters feel like they wandered in from a half-remembered dream, and But who will heal you? is absolutely steeped in that soft, strange Studio Ghibli energy. The title alone does half the emotional damage. Then the build comes along and finishes the job with a giant mushroom being whose silence, as the builder says, “spoke volumes.” Oof. Right in the forest spirits.
What I love here is how character-first the model feels. This is not just “mushroom with face,” which is already a pretty good afternoon, honestly. It has presence. The proportions suggest something ancient and gentle, while the fantasy creature shaping keeps it from feeling too tidy or mascot-like. Miscellanabuilds is clearly leaning into mood as much as parts usage, and that is where the magic cap really pops.
As a Biocup 2026 Round 1 entry and Summer Joust “Moment of Happiness” build, it lands in a lovely in-between space: whimsical, melancholy, and oddly comforting. That is a tricky emotional mushroom stew to cook, but Eann McCurdy makes it feel effortless. I would very much like this silent giant to guard my garden, heal my party, and maybe judge my life choices just a little.
