Galerie d’Antha turns Choupisson into the sort of LEGO scene that feels like it should come with page-turn sound effects. Based on David Périmony’s picture books from éditions de la Gouttière, this build is not just adapting a character or a cover image. It is reaching for that very specific storybook magic where a little house, a bit of water, and a soft corner of the world can do a surprising amount of narrative heavy lifting.

The Amiens connection gives it extra heart. Galerie d’Antha is building from home turf here, recreating the house in the hortillonnages, the floating garden district that appears on the first page of the album. That is exactly the kind of local detail I love in a MOC: not a generic cute cottage, but a place with roots, translated into brick at picture-book scale.
Even from the premise alone, the appeal is wonderfully specific. A good children’s-book build has to balance accuracy with warmth, and this one sounds like it understands that the spaces around the subject matter as much as the subject itself. Add in the collaboration with Jérôme Vins and Loïc Gilbert, and it becomes a lovely little love letter to French comics, Amiens, and brick-built storytelling.
