A 12×12 vignette can feel like a cage, but Taj: Brick Minstrel turns the tiny footprint of Nearly a Year Later into a little vertical story. The setup is wonderfully simple: a lone tower, a fountain that has absolutely no interest in staying contained, and enough creeping greenery to make the stonework feel like it has been waiting there for ages.

What I like most is how personal the build feels without needing a giant backstory stapled to it. The overflowing fountain gives the whole scene motion, while the tower keeps it grounded, rising out of the small base like a memory getting taller every time you revisit it. The vines along the side are a smart bit of texture too, softening the hard medieval shapes and making the whole thing feel less like a contest entry and more like a place.
It is also a neat milestone build. Taj mentions this as a celebration of nearly a year sharing MOCs on Flickr, and you can feel that push to build beyond the first idea: a small fountain becoming something more ambitious, more atmospheric, and much more memorable. Not bad for a Teen Fan of LEGO with a Brick Minstrel name and clearly a bard’s sense of drama.
