Some LEGO builds arrive humming their own soundtrack. Steve Cornforth Photography’s Yellow Submarine 1 is pure Pepperland cheer: that big banana-bright hull, the rounded nose, the red porthole rhythm, and the white tower popping up top like a tiny brick-built chorus.

What still makes this classic design such a treat is how confidently it leans into shape. The curved yellow panels do the heavy lifting, but the little bits are where the tune gets catchy: red accents breaking up the hull, stacked pipework for the periscopes, and that wonderfully toy-like tail fin that makes the whole submarine feel ready to bob across a living room sea. It is polished, goofy, and proudly theatrical, just as a Beatles submarine should be.
Coming from a Liverpool photographer, this one feels extra right. A local icon, a LEGO icon, and a whole lot of yellow plastic joy.
