Somewhere in the LEGO galaxy, Blacktron is having a very bad moving day. Mr_Minotaurus gives this microscale Space build a wonderfully odd little mission log: a message has arrived, the station is no longer safe, and it’s time to relocate. Apparently, the keys have been handed over to some overly loud aspirants. There goes the security deposit.

Tagged for Shiptember, Blacktron taps into a theme that still makes my inner Space kid reach for a suspiciously unmarked control panel. Blacktron! Even the name sounds like you’re about to get chased out of somebody else’s asteroid belt.
I’m particularly fond of pairing microscale building with scraps of storytelling. A log entry gives a small model a much bigger universe without requiring three paragraphs of engine specifications. Here, we get an evacuation, named characters, and just enough confusion to wonder what happened before we arrived. Somebody fetch the next transmission—I have questions about the new tenants.
