Some cartoons are practically begging to be built in LEGO, and Oggy and the Cockroaches has that perfect recipe: one big anxious blue cat, three tiny agents of chaos, and enough slapstick energy to power a whole Saturday morning.
Pistash’s take lands because it doesn’t try to over-explain the joke. The appeal is right there in the cast lineup: Oggy as the oversized straight man, with Joey, Dee Dee, and Marky causing trouble at minifig-adjacent scale. Cartoon builds live or die on silhouettes, and this one understands that instantly recognizable shapes matter more than literal detail. You can feel the French animated-series DNA in the proportions: broad, goofy, and just a little unhinged.
It was built for the “Équipage à l’abordage” collaborative contest on Brickpirate, under the Cartoon theme, which feels wildly appropriate. A good cartoon MOC should look like it might start sprinting off the table any second. This one does.
