Bug-eyed and battle ready

Mantis.King’s Injectors are the kind of tiny tabletop troublemakers that make microscale sci-fi so much fun. Inspired by David Costa’s Kamikaze Drone, this trio keeps the idea compact and readable: bright trans-neon green cores, little clear domes, and those excellent single-eye faces give each bot instant personality.

The best bit is how spindly they feel without becoming fragile-looking. Dark gray clip-and-hinge joints give the legs just enough mechanical weight, while the orange bar pieces stretch them into proper insectoid stilts. The small color accents on top help separate the three drones, so they read as a coordinated squad instead of copy-paste repeats.

I also love that these are clearly built with gaming in mind. They look small enough to swarm a battlefield, weird enough to be memorable, and modular enough that you can imagine systems getting bolted on later for Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack.
