Bundesbahn Beauty in Brick Red

·

There’s something gloriously no-nonsense about the Deutsche Bundesbahn V200: big shoulders, bold stripes, and a face that looks ready to haul half of Germany before breakfast. Thomas Reincke’s LEGO take captures that diesel swagger beautifully, with the cream-and-red livery doing a lot of heavy nostalgic lifting.

What really sells it for me is the shaping around the cab and nose. The V200 is all about those rounded corners and slightly sloped fronts, and this model leans into that tricky geometry without turning the locomotive into a box with headlights. The side striping is clean, the proportions feel properly weighty, and the detailing has that satisfying model-railway-meets-LEGO sweet spot.

With three detail shots available, this is exactly the kind of build worth zooming in on. Train fans, Bundesbahn buffs, and anyone who enjoys a handsome chunk of diesel-era engineering should give this one a closer look.
