Claw and Order: Hazardous Brick Division

·

Some robots deserve a hug. This one sounds like it should come with a workplace safety briefing. Danny Hennesy’s clawed mechanoid pairs a yellow-and-black warning scheme with green, giving this sci-fi walker a suitably hazardous identity. Please keep fingers clear of the brick-built employee.

Danny introduces the update with “yes I added some parts to the mechanical bloke,” then admits it was actually a complete rebuild. That’s an extremely relatable LEGO confession. Just one little adjustment, and suddenly your afternoon—and your robot—has been dismantled.

The interesting constraint here is the parts supply: Danny built with bricks he hadn’t already sold. I love that approach. A shrinking collection turns building into a negotiation between the robot in your head and whatever’s left in the box. For a clawed mechanical creature, that feels like fertile territory for improvisation.

Danny calls his habit “adbricktion.” No further questions, Your Honour. The prosecution also has several unfinished mechs.
