Clyde and Seek, Drones

·

Fabu-Force is back, and Entertainingly lame has drafted one of Fabuland’s finest into the fight. Crocodile Clyde’s War Jaw mech has the exact energy of a Saturday morning cartoon that got loose in the parts bin: drones have banned kites, music, and picnic baskets, Clyde’s skateboard is toast, and the only reasonable response is obviously a battle mech with a bite.

What makes this sing is the collision of moods. Exo-Force was all sharp lines, heroic machinery, and very serious robot-smashing business. Fabuland is cozy animal chaos with tiny hats and big feelings. Smashing those two things together should not work this well, but Clyde feels right at home stomping into action. The name “War Jaw” does a lot of work too; you can practically hear the mechanical chomp before some poor drone gets launched into next Tuesday.

I also love that this is part of Fabu-Force 2026, a revival of a Flickr collaboration from way back in 2010. There is something wonderfully LEGO about taking an old community idea, bolting on new jokes, new parts, and new friends, then sending a crocodile hero out to save picnic baskets everywhere.
