This little parrot is basically a tiny masterclass in letting one odd new part do the singing. Built as part of The Brothers Brick’s LEGO Ideas 21368 Peanuts: Snoopy’s Doghouse seed-part challenge, aohanmei2024 turns the set’s new grass-and-feather element into the perfect yellow cockatoo crest. It is the kind of choice that feels obvious only after someone clever has already done it.

The bird itself is wonderfully economical. A clean white body, a black curved beak, and that bright crown are enough to read instantly as a cockatoo, but the fun is in the supporting cast of parts. The wings appear to use small car door elements, giving the sides a smooth folded-feather shape without needing a mess of plates. The tail uses slim fin-like pieces, which keeps the silhouette light and birdlike instead of chunky.
I also love how much personality comes from the pose. The body leans forward just a touch on those spindly brown legs, perched on a twisting branch that feels more organic than it has any right to at this scale. The surrounding greenery frames the model without stealing the show, and the big leaf pieces make the whole photo feel like a tiny jungle vignette.
Seed-part builds are at their best when they make you re-file a piece in your brain. This one does exactly that. That new Snoopy grass element is not just grass, and it is not just Woodstock’s feathers. It is plumage, foliage, fantasy texture, creature detail, and probably a dozen more things builders are already scheming about. Not bad for a part that looks like it flew straight out of a cartoon beagle’s backyard.
