Small builds live or die on instant character, and mmbmaxx gives this little crab a whole personality with just a few sharp choices. The dark green shell has that lovely armored G1 constraction feel, all rounded plates and creature-y curves, while the lime legs and claws pop like nature decided to crank the saturation slider. It is tiny, yes, but it does not feel underbuilt.
My favorite bit is how readable the silhouette is from the first glance. Those little pincers are practically waving at you, the black eyes sit high and goofy in exactly the right way, and the outdoor photography sells the scale beautifully. Tucked into dry leaves and stems, the crab looks less like a model on display and more like a strange plastic crustacean you accidentally discovered while gardening.
Built for #TimeForCrab, #LittleGuyJuly, and the BioCup G1 Gauntlet, this is the kind of compact challenge build that makes me grin: focused, punchy, and full of bite.
