Crossover Crunch in Microscale

·

Mantis.King’s Crossover BBs stomps in with exactly the kind of chunky little sci-fi attitude I love in a Mobile Frame Zero build. It’s compact, readable, and ready to ruin somebody’s afternoon on a tabletop battlefield. The revised Crossover frame keeps that multiped mech silhouette nice and low, with a profile that feels equal parts utility walker and angry space crab.

The fun twist here is the brickblend: LEGO mixed with Block Tech parts. Purists may clutch their pearl-gold goblets, but I’m always interested when alternate elements are used with purpose rather than just convenience. Here, the shapes seem to lean into the wargaming vibe, adding greebly texture and mechanical bite without overwhelming the microscale frame.

There’s a scrappy, garage-built charm to it, like some frontier mechanic bolted together whatever was in the parts bin and somehow made it battle-ready. Tiny mech, big personality.
