woomy world’s grim reaper takes Rogue Olympics round 7’s theme Detach and gives it the most cheerfully morbid reading possible. The builder’s own summary says it all: “he separate da souls from da body.” That is funny, blunt, and weirdly perfect. If you need a LEGO model related to the act of detaching, the Grim Reaper with a scythe is about as direct as folklore gets.

The cleverness here is not just in the concept, though. It is in how the build handles the 101-part ceiling. Humanoid characters are brutal under a parts limit because everything wants pieces: face, shoulders, arms, hands, robe, weapon, posture. woomy world notes that the head and scythe had to carry the identity of the model, so the rest of the body needed to be simplified hard. Skipping legs to save parts is exactly the kind of contest-building decision that sounds obvious after the fact, but only works if the silhouette still feels complete.
The face solution is especially fun. Instead of trying to brick-build a skull at microscopic parts-budget cost, the build uses a Bionicle G2 skeleton mask, then sneaks in a Belville foam flower to create the eye color. That is wonderfully cursed parts usage, and I mean that with affection. It is very woomy world: character-first, slightly strange, and willing to use an odd piece if it makes the expression click.
I also like that the scythe is treated as essential rather than decorative. For this theme, it is not just an accessory, it is the punchline and the proof of concept. The result sounds like a tiny dark-robed figure built with ruthless economy, a strong face, and just enough theatrical doom to make the whole thing land. Death, but make it 101 pieces.
