Kooky Bricks went straight for the forbidden fruit of nerd culture with this Warhammer 40k – Space Marine build, and honestly, that is exactly why it works. The whole thing came out of a LUG challenge to create your dream LEGO set, which is such a perfect excuse to chase the licenses that will almost certainly never happen. A LEGO Warhammer set feels wildly unlikely for about a dozen reasons, but as a one-off fan creation? Oh yes. Absolutely yes.
What I like here is the ambition behind it. Even described as a fun exercise for a possible larger build later, this already sounds like the kind of project that lives or dies on presence. A Space Marine needs bulk, attitude, and that unmistakable exaggerated silhouette, and if you are going to dip a toe into 40k, that is exactly the place to start. There is something deeply satisfying about seeing grimdark source material filtered through plastic-brick creativity. It should not exist, and that is half the fun.
