Some LEGO vehicles look ready for a Sunday drive. Hibernia Lifter looks ready to winch a crashed moon buggy out of a methane swamp. Built by pyrefyre, this compact sci-fi recovery rig packs a surprising amount of attitude into a small footprint, with a crisp white body wrapped around chunky off-road tires and a black truss boom that instantly sells the whole machine.

The shaping on the cab is the first thing that grabbed me. Those smooth white fenders and angled windscreen give the truck a sleek, almost armored look, but it never loses that rough-and-ready utility vehicle feel. The builder keeps the bodywork clean and controlled, then lets the mechanical bits do the talking underneath, with enough gray structure peeking through to make the chassis feel believable.

Then there’s that crane. The black lattice boom running down the centerline gives the whole build its working-truck identity, and it looks great from every angle. A tan equipment box, rear utility detailing, and stacked taillights keep the back end visually busy without turning into clutter. It feels like a machine designed for a job, not just a cool shell around four wheels.

pyrefyre has more than 700 photos on Flickr, and that experience shows here. Hibernia Lifter is one of those small MOCs that rewards a longer look: tidy proportions, strong color blocking, and just enough industrial texture to make the sci-fi premise feel real. It’s a sharp little workhorse with a lot of personality.
