Hope Springs From Rockwork

·

Dark Bane returns with a cliff-face that feels less like a pile of slopes and more like a chunk of landscape that wandered onto the table. Mountain of hope is tall, narrow, and wonderfully vertical, with big gray curved panels doing the heavy lifting while smaller plates, wedges, and exposed studs keep the rock from turning into one smooth wall.

My favorite bit is the little climber tucked into the split in the stone. That tiny figure gives the whole build a story: the rope line, the bright green plants, and the windswept tree at the summit all point your eye upward. The tree itself is a neat bit of LEGO shorthand, using dark, bending trunks and lacy leaf pieces to suggest height without stealing the show.

It is a compact MOC, but it has that classic adventure-diorama spark: danger below, hope above, and just enough foliage to make the rocks feel alive.
