There’s something wonderfully LEGO-nerdy about lining up your own creative history and saying, “Okay, where did the roof get better?” Peter, The Archеr’s Evolution is exactly that sort of builder self-portrait: a look back across six years of medieval house-making, with each structure acting like a brick-built bookmark in the journey.

Peter’s work has always had that lived-in fantasy village charm, but what makes this retrospective sing is the visible progression. You can trace the confidence growing in the shapes: tighter rooflines, more natural landscaping, cleaner wall textures, and those little architectural choices that turn “nice cottage” into “I want to quest here immediately.” It’s the kind of castle-adjacent building where the cleverness isn’t screaming for attention; it’s tucked into timber frames, uneven stonework, and cozy silhouettes.
The post also has a bittersweet little footnote, as Peter mentions starting university and likely building less for a while. That makes this feel less like a goodbye and more like a save point. The inventory may go quiet, but the XP has definitely been banked.
Here’s hoping the study breaks are long enough for a few more roofs, walls, and suspiciously charming medieval doorways.
