Mary, Mary, Signal Contrary

djokson’s signal jammer III, also known as mary in the hedgemaze, is the kind of LEGO bug-bot that makes me want to check whether the flowers in my garden are secretly transmitting coordinates. It has mantis energy, mecha attitude, and a color scheme that should not work nearly as well as it does: radioactive green, hot pink, black, and just enough teal to make the whole thing snap into focus.

Mary, Mary, Signal Contrary

The big party trick here is the use of Znap parts as insect anatomy. Those bright green lattice pieces read as folded wings, leaf-like armor, and hedge maze walls all at once, which is a very djokson move. They are not just slapped on for size; they give the model a spiky, architectural silhouette, like this little creature was built out of garden fencing and bad intentions. The black curved elements around the sides add a wonderful hooked-mantis shape, framing the body with a pair of sinister parentheses.

Then there is the pink core, which feels almost like a tiny pilot, idol, or signal source tucked inside the green machinery. The striped legs and compact torso keep the figure from becoming a pile of cool parts, and the tall antennae sell the “signal jammer” idea without needing a single printed tile or obvious gadget. That is the fun of this build: the theme comes through in silhouette and part language. It looks like a character, a device, and a bug, all arguing over who gets top billing.

I especially love how delicate the pose feels despite the chunkier Technic and constraction DNA. It is sharp, weird, a little glamorous, and absolutely the sort of thing that would scuttle across your desk at 2 a.m. while politely ruining your Wi-Fi.
