Karf Oohlu Lite’s Starship Mothra flutters in from the deep reaches of Microspacetopia, and yes, I am absolutely here for giant kaiju energy translated into tiny sci-fi hardware. The silhouette sells it first: wide, wing-like panels stretching out from a compact central body, giving the whole craft that unmistakable “space moth” vibe without tipping into literal bug territory.
What I really dig is how much character Karf squeezes into microscale. The build feels layered, with little mechanical ridges and color breaks suggesting hull plating, engine greebles, and maybe a few mysterious alien systems best left unlabeled. It’s the kind of ship that looks elegant from across the room, then gets better when you zoom in and start spotting the clever little part choices tucked along the edges.
With nearly a thousand photos in his Flickr stream, Karf clearly has a deep bench of weird space imagination. This one’s a wonderfully compact creature feature among the stars.
