Nine Lives, Eighteen Pieces

·

Maxx Davidson’s 18 piece Alley Cat is tiny in the most dangerous way: it looks so simple that you start counting parts immediately, then realize every one is doing real work. The little calico face carries a ton of attitude, but the surrounding bits sell the whole back-alley story: a green trash can, a lumpy sack, and one unlucky fish reduced to bones.

Nine Lives, Eighteen Pieces

What I love is how compactly staged it feels. The curled tail gives the silhouette a proper cat swagger, the white chest and paws break up the warm browns, and that yellow collar/neck bit turns a few stacked parts into a very smug scavenger. Eighteen pieces is barely a polybag snack, yet this has a setting, a character, and a punchline.

It is the kind of desk-sized MOC that makes restraint look like a superpower. No wasted bricks, no extra fluff, just pure alley-cat confidence.
