Littlepixel™ has a knack for making LEGO geometry look like it escaped from a very calm, very well-organized science fiction film, and these Octahedral Cargo Pods v2.0 are exactly that sort of delightful brick sorcery. They’re crates, yes, but also tiny space-age polyhedrons with a real “please store your experimental soil samples here” energy.

The headline here is the shape. Octahedrons are not exactly LEGO’s natural habitat, but this pod leans into angles, panels, and clever connection voodoo to sell the form beautifully. Littlepixel™ notes that this version comes “with added smoller panel gaps,” which is the kind of upgrade path I can absolutely get behind. Fewer gaps! More pointy cargo dignity!
I especially love that the builder calls the interior “a clip nightmare,” because of course it is. Builds like this don’t happen by stacking bricks politely. They happen through clips, hinges, offsets, and probably at least one moment where you stare into the middle of the model and whisper, “what have I done?” The result is worth it, though: a compact little sci-fi container that feels practical, modular, and just alien enough.
The presentation helps, too. Rendered in Mecabricks and Blender, the pods have that clean hangar-bay look, like they’re waiting to be loaded aboard a freighter in the background of a classic space movie. Whether they’re shipping soil or duck-named robots, I want a whole rack of these lining a cargo deck.
