From safari browser to Midwest woodland resident: that’s quite a migration for a box of bricks. Mulewings~ calls this LEGO deer remake “That time of year,” trading the giraffe from LEGO Creator 31150 Wild Safari Animals for something a little closer to home.

The builder’s caption supplies the seasonal cue: in the Midwest, hunters start thinking about deer hunting. Me? I’m thinking about the possibilities hiding inside a Creator animal set. Apparently, that giraffe had a woodland career waiting in the wings.
Reworking one animal into another is a lovely building challenge. The source material gives you a starting vocabulary, but changing species means reconsidering proportions and the silhouette that makes an animal recognizable. That’s the sort of creative detour I love: looking past the creature on the box and asking what else those bricks might become.
Safari today, deer country tomorrow. Never underestimate a giraffe with transferable skills.
