Orange You Glad This Brick Exists?

·

Sometimes the rarest LEGO treasure is not a towering castle, a swooshy starfighter, or a minifigure with one eyebrow printed slightly differently. Sometimes it is a neat little cube full of fifty orange 2×4 bricks, wrapped in Dutch football history.

Orange You Glad This Brick Exists?

maxx3001 has shared the 2026 KNVB promotional box, a tidy 8.5 cm cube made for the new partnership between LEGO and the Royal Dutch Football Association. The whole thing is wonderfully specific: orange bricks, Dutch soccer pride, and the slogan “Trotse Partners in Play,” all aimed at getting kids playing and moving ahead of the 2028 European Championships. As a LEGO object, it is about as pure as it gets. No gimmicks, no complicated mold, just the most iconic brick in a color that basically waves a tiny Netherlands flag.

What makes this especially fun is the builder behind the photo. maxx3001 is not just casually admiring a promo item here; Michel collects 2×4 bricks in every color he can find, from regular production colors to test bricks and Bayer oddities. So this little orange box lands less like merchandise and more like a shiny new specimen in a very particular LEGO museum. That kind of brick obsession? Absolutely valid.
