Eero Okkonen clocks in for the Forenoon Shift at the Waterside Café, and naturally the uniform is immaculate. Built for the LEGO Ideas Paradisa Summer Vibes contest, this character is a charming little love letter to the sharply dressed waiters, piccolos, and concierges who helped make the original Paradisa line feel like a pastel vacation brochure in brick form.

What I love here is how Eero takes that very specific early-’90s LEGO resort energy and filters it through his own character-building wizardry. The figure has that polished service-industry posture: tidy vest, crisp shirt, tray-ready attitude, and just enough personality to suggest they know every regular’s coffee order by heart. It’s not just nostalgia bait; it’s nostalgia in a pressed waistcoat.
Eero’s builds are always worth lingering over because the part choices do real work. The shaping feels clean without getting sterile, with curves and angles landing exactly where they need to sell fabric, pose, and expression at once. The result is less “minifig scaled up” and more like a brick-built mascot for the entire Paradisa hospitality department.
And yes, there’s a cat involved, because every waterside café needs one small furry manager silently judging the staff. That detail alone pushes the whole scene from stylish character build into tiny story territory.
