Pastel Dreams on Ocean Drive

·

Warsaw-based builder Liwnik has a knack for capturing the soul of a place in plastic, and this Art Deco-inspired Ocean Drive scene is a perfect example. Built as part of a WAWLUG collab project, it squeezes an entire Miami Beach afternoon into a single vignette — and somehow makes you feel the humidity.

The architecture is the star here. That white-and-teal hotel facade nails the South Beach aesthetic with clean horizontal banding and just the right amount of pastel flair. The yellow upper story pops against the aqua trim, and the pink flowering hedges lining the base add a landscaping touch that most builders skip entirely.

But it’s the beach scene that brings it to life — a blue-and-yellow lifeguard stand with proper stairs, palm trees swaying at just the right angle, surfers carving through layered translucent blue waves, and easily twenty-plus minifigures scattered across the sand doing absolutely nothing productive. As it should be.
