Vermeer, meet the street-art crowd. thilo.schoen’s “Girl with a Gold Earring” swaps the old-master reference for an original LEGO portrait inspired by Pop Art and Street Art. It’s a counterpart to the builder’s LEGO version of “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” rather than another straight recreation. Same family tree, different attitude.

The colour concept is what hooks me here: a predominantly cool palette, balanced with warm accents and golden highlights. That’s a lovely bit of restraint. Gold can easily become the loudest guest at the LEGO party, but giving it a cooler setting makes those highlights count. The earring gets top billing in the title; the palette gives it a supporting cast.
Fancy trading your next spaceship for some wall art? Instructions are available on Rebrickable; search for T.Brick. I’m always up for a build that asks the brick collection to stretch its artistic muscles.
