Pod Save the Brawler

Mantis.King is back tinkering in the Mobile Frame Zero garage, and this little bruiser looks ready to start arguments at microscale. The LZ Pod Brawler is part of Raymond Bull’s ongoing LZ Pod squad work, and the name tells you exactly what kind of frame this is: no fancy ranged weapons, just grabbers, armor, and bad intentions.

I always love MFZ builds that make the game stats feel baked into the model rather than tacked on afterward. Here, the systems are called out in LEGO and light bley, giving the frame that readable tabletop language where every attachment has a purpose. The 2Rh+d8 grabbers and 2B armor say “come closer” in the most brick-built way possible, while the compact pod silhouette keeps it firmly in that wonderful mechaton sweet spot: tiny, tough, and begging to be deployed by the handful.

It’s a great reminder that microscale mecha don’t need to be overcomplicated to have personality. Sometimes all you need is a squat little chassis and a pair of mitts made for trouble.
