Some LEGO cameras feel like boxes with lenses slapped on; this one has the proper little-camera swagger. Dominic Scott Photography’s miniature SLR lands right in that sweet spot where a build reads instantly, but still packs enough texture to make you lean closer. The stepped front plate, chunky lens barrel, and little field of buttons sell the camera-nerd fantasy without needing a single working shutter.
I especially like how the build treats the controls as part of the joke. Dominic mentions struggling to assign custom functions to all those buttons, which is exactly the sort of problem you would have after accidentally buying the brick-built version of a pro camera. The title is doing half a wink too: Praktica, Plastica, and probably a slightly confused autofocus system made entirely of ABS. Tiny, tidy, and very cleverly assembled.
