CareCreations has a knack for making LEGO feel like it was dug out of some ancient, mossy ruin, and Phytoagalma is exactly the kind of title that makes me want to dust off a mythology textbook and a bin of BIONICLE joints. Built for BioCup 2026 Round Two’s “Metamorphosis” theme, this vignette imagines an abandoned statue to a forgotten god suddenly stirring back to life after a strange tree starts growing inside it. That is extremely my kind of weird.

The magic here is in the contrast: rigid stone idol versus wild organic growth. BIONICLE and constraction parts are perfect for that in-between state, where the figure can feel ancient, cracked, and not entirely human anymore. The statue’s body reads like weathered masonry, but the tree bursting through it changes the whole silhouette. It is not just a creature with branches stuck on; it feels like the transformation is happening from the inside out.
I also love how the concept plays with scale. This is a vignette, but it suggests a much bigger story: a lost temple, a dead religion, maybe one very unlucky archaeologist standing just out of frame. The “forgotten god” angle gives the build a nice spooky gravitas without needing tons of scenery. A few well-placed textures can do the heavy lifting when the central figure has this much personality.
BioCup builds often shine when they treat parts as anatomy, armor, stone, and symbolism all at once, and CareCreations leans right into that sweet spot. Metamorphosis can mean butterfly wings or sci-fi mutation, sure, but an idol becoming a living forest spirit? That is top-tier plastic mythology.
