Mantis.King’s Giant Water Strider Beetles look like they are one initiative roll away from tap-dancing across a sci-fi pond and ruining somebody’s careful battle plan. The rounded white carapaces give each little critter a wonderfully toyetic silhouette, while the pink understructure keeps them from becoming just another gray tabletop swarm.

What really sells them is the leg language. Those long, skinny struts do not need much bulk to read as water-strider limbs, and the slight color variation between the three bugs makes them feel like a squad rather than copy-paste clones. I also like the brickblend honesty here: LEGO and Make Market parts are being mashed together for shape, not hidden away like a guilty secret. The result feels perfectly at home in Mobile Frame Zero territory, where personality often matters as much as polish.
