Small Soldiers, Big Brick Energy

Four studs tall is plenty of room for a military history rabbit hole. Evan, who builds as Brickntyre.Lego, calls this creation INFANTERIE DE L’ARMEE—a suitably no-nonsense title for an infantry-themed LEGO subject. No elaborate backstory, no lengthy mission briefing. We’re straight into minifigure territory.

The Flickr tags include BrickArms alongside both First and Second World War references, so I wouldn’t pin a particular conflict or regiment on this one from the listing alone. Those distinctions matter: a helmet shape or equipment choice can send a military minifigure enthusiast down an entirely different research trail. Tiny plastic, surprisingly big homework assignment.

That’s part of the appeal of this corner of the hobby for me. Minifigure customization shifts the creative challenge from sprawling architecture to character-scale decisions: silhouette, accessories, and how much visual information a little figure can carry. Evan’s wonderfully economical profile bio, “I build Lego,” keeps the introduction just as compact. Fair enough—let the bricks report for duty.
