Snip, slice, and detach with style

Beta Brick takes the Rogue Olympics theme Detached in the most literal and pleasingly practical direction with Cutting Tools. Scissors, a snap-blade knife, and snippers are not glamorous subjects at first glance, but that is exactly what makes this little build fun. These are the tools that separate, trim, open, and generally make things come apart, so the prompt connection is wonderfully clean.

What I like here is the parts-limited problem solving. Under 101 parts means every shape has to be sharp, readable, and purposeful, especially when you are recreating objects everyone already knows by feel. The Technic suspension spring is a great touch, because it adds a little mechanical truth to the snippers instead of just suggesting the shape. I also enjoy the use of LEGO bag and box material for the cardboard and paper. That gives the scene a tiny meta twist: tools for cutting LEGO packaging, built from LEGO-adjacent leftovers. Rushed or not, that is clever.
