sdrnet is kicking off something wonderfully frosty with the SDRnet Winter Collection, a new LEGO Winter Village series that feels ready-made for cocoa, carols, and a tiny plastic snow shovel. Builder Sandro Damiano says this is the start of rebuilding his historic winter village in LEGO, and I am absolutely here for that kind of long-term seasonal commitment.
What I love about Winter Village builds is how quickly they can tip from cozy to cluttered, but this scene keeps things charming and readable. The snow does the heavy lifting visually, giving the buildings and holiday details room to breathe. There’s a nice “village display base” energy here too, like this could slot right into a larger Christmas layout without shouting over the rest of the neighborhood.
Sandro’s photography background shows as well. The presentation has that crisp catalog-of-memories feel, where the build is not just a model but the first page of a snowy little story. With both a Christmas Holidays base and Winter Chalet base mentioned as part of the launch, it sounds like this village is only going to get merrier from here.
