Some movie lines become legends. Others become memes, then LEGO builds. Poe Dameron’s famously under-explained announcement gets another lease on life in Les Foutch’s Somehow Palpatine returned. Apparently, the dark side has discovered a power even greater than cloning: AFOLs with a sense of humor.

Foutch flips the joke in the description, proposing a Star Wars timeline where the meme inspired The Rise of Skywalker, rather than the other way around. That’s exactly the sort of continuity nonsense I can get behind. Somebody fetch the red string and a very large corkboard.
The builder also reports becoming intimately acquainted with every nook and cranny of Poe’s face. Turning a recognizable human likeness into LEGO is already a challenge; making it carry a familiar joke adds another layer. It’s a fitting subject for this Quebec-based builder, whose stated favorites include humorous vignettes and Star Wars scenes. The Force is strong with the punchline.
