The Abs That Launched a Thousand Ships

Forget flowers. Forget poetry. According to _Tylar_, Pâris had a much simpler strategy for winning Helen over: “Look at my six-pack.” Greek mythology, meet the world’s oldest gym selfie.

The Seduction of Helen by Paris – 1/3 wraps that gloriously daft pickup line in a surprisingly elaborate artistic premise. This LEGO creation presents a fictional Renaissance painting attributed to Rafaello Orsini—a painter who is also entirely invented for the project. We’ve got bricks pretending to be art with its own pretend art history. Somewhere, a museum label writer just cracked their knuckles.

The builder describes it as a mise en abyme: an artwork nested within another artwork. That’s a wonderfully nerdy framework for a joke about abdominal muscles, and I’m absolutely here for the contrast. Rather than simply borrowing a mythological subject, _Tylar_ gives it a fictional creative backstory. Come for the classical reference; stay for the shameless flex.
