The build that got away, brick by brick

Brickntyre.Lego’s Scrapped WIP is the kind of post that hits differently than the usual showcase, and I have genuine respect for builders who are honest about the parts of the process that do not make it to completion. A scrapped plate from a WW2 French battle MOC, abandoned not because the build failed, but because the style did not fit the budget. That is the unglamorous reality behind a lot of impressive MOCs, and it is refreshing to see someone acknowledge it without pretending every abandoned build is a masterpiece in disguise.

What I like here is the emotional note. The builder admits they liked the style, even if the economics of spare-change building did not cooperate. That tension between ambition and affordability is something every adult fan knows intimately. You have a vision, you have the skill, and then you run into the simple truth that certain techniques cost more than your parts drawer can sustain. It is a bummer, but it is also honest, and honest posts tend to resonate more than polished ones.
