Carcinisation comes for us all, apparently even LEGO Spybotics. Magmafrost13’s Spybotics Crabs is exactly the kind of tiny, weird, part-forward nonsense I love: a couple of little robo-crustaceans scuttling out of the early-2000s parts bin with maximum attitude.

The charm here is in the collision of themes. Spybotics already had that wonderfully chunky, techy language, and turning it into crabs feels both ridiculous and completely inevitable. The angled legs sell the skittery motion, while the compact bodies keep everything in that “little guy” sweet spot. There’s a nice Bionicle-adjacent energy too, where each mechanical bit feels like it might be armor, shell, claw, or sensor depending on how long you stare at it.
Built for both #TimeForCrab and #littleguyjuly, this is double dipping I can absolutely endorse. When the result is tiny cyber-crabs, nobody should be calling foul. Or shellfish.
