Kopaka has always been the cool one, literally and emotionally, but Cody Avery Builds takes that frosty restraint and cracks it open. Shadow Kopaka, Toa of Frost feels like the moment the noble ice warrior stops bottling up the bad thoughts and lets them build a wicked trans-blue murder halo behind him. Very therapeutic. Probably terrible for team morale.

The first thing that grabs me is the silhouette. This is recognizably Bionicle in all the right ways: long limbs, armored stance, weapon-first attitude, and a mask that still carries that old-school Toa presence. But Cody pushes it into darker territory with a mostly black body, leaving the transparent blue to flare out as frozen energy instead of simple color blocking. That choice makes the ice look active, almost parasitic, like it is bursting through the armor rather than decorating it.
That sweeping arc over the shoulder is the showstopper. It reads as a wing, a tail, a storm of ice shards, and a dramatic anime special move all at once. The repeated translucent spikes give it rhythm, while the pale core pieces keep the whole curve from becoming visual noise. I also love how the smaller blue hits at the wrists, ankles, and torso tie the big effect back into the figure, so the model does not feel like a standard Toa with a giant accessory bolted on.
The weapon is smartly restrained by comparison: mostly black, broad, and severe, with just enough frost at the grip to connect it to the character. That balance is what sells the build. Shadow Kopaka is not just Kopaka painted evil. He looks like a hero mid-transformation, still standing with purpose, but carrying something much colder and nastier than usual. For a Bio-Cup G1 Gauntlet entry, that is exactly the kind of character remix that makes me lean closer to the screen.
