Chro draws a wicked hand from the tarot deck with XV. The Devil, a BioCup final-round entry that feels right at home in the shadowy corner of the Major Arcana. The prompt was “Fate & Fortune,” and this horned Bionicle figure absolutely understands the assignment: ominous, theatrical, and just smug enough to make you wonder if signing that contract is really such a bad idea.

What I love here is how the build leans into classic constraction drama without becoming a pile of spikes for spike’s sake. The silhouette does the heavy lifting first: tall horns, broad shoulders, a looming stance, and those sharp negative spaces that make the figure read instantly as “devil” before you even start hunting for parts. That is always the trick with character builds like this. The shape has to hit from across the room, then reward you up close.
And reward it does. Chro has a great eye for texture, mixing smooth armor shells with more mechanical Bionicle bits so the figure feels ancient, ritualistic, and a little otherworldly. The best constraction MOCs use gaps and layering as design tools rather than things to hide, and this one has that lovely skeletal energy where every angle feels intentional. It is less “person in armor” and more “bad decision given limbs.”
The tarot angle is a perfect fit, too. The Devil card is all about temptation, control, and the chains we choose not to break, and Chro captures that vibe without needing a literal card border or heavy-handed symbolism. The pose says plenty: he decides your fate — if you let him. Deliciously grim, very BioCup, and just the kind of dramatic plastic sorcery I like to see in a final round.
