This Cookie Monster is built to steal hearts, not snacks

Some LEGO creatures try to look fierce. Kristel, better known as kjw010, goes the other way with a round little beast that looks like it would rather raid your cookie jar than your village. This AdoraBuild contest entry, nicknamed ChocChip Crumbles, lands somewhere between cuddly mascot and tiny fantasy monster, and that balance is what makes it work so well.

The first thing that grabs me is the shaping. The upper body is built with smooth tan curves that give the model a plush, pillowy silhouette, while the lower half breaks into layered fur texture with pointed elements and angled plates. That contrast keeps the build from feeling too simple. The big glossy eyes and open smile sell the personality instantly, and the single tooth is a perfect cartoony touch.

There is some smart character-building in the details too. The dark brown horns have a clean organic sweep, the little ears help round out the head, and the scattered brown patches stop the tan body from reading as one big block of color. Even the tiny feet do their job, with white claws peeking out just enough to ground the model without making it look aggressive.

The extra angles really show off how complete the sculpt is. From the back, you can see that the rounded shaping carries all the way through instead of stopping at the hero shot, which is always something I appreciate in a display build. The shaggy lower section wraps around nicely, so this little monster still feels finished from every side.

Kristel has more than 2,100 photos on Flickr, and that experience shows in a model that knows exactly how much detail it needs. It is cute, readable, and packed with just enough texture and expression to make AFOLs lean in for a closer look. That is a lovely combo for a character build, and I would absolutely save this one from an empty cookie plate.
