This Gundog Bites Back

·

kotkoozya’s Anti-materiel gundog takes the usual sci-fi robot-dog idea and gives it the posture of something that has been waiting in a bombed-out street for three hours without blinking. The main body is compact, almost backpack-like, with that long 30-mm cannon doing most of the talking. It is a hunter, not a squad pet, and the model sells that immediately.

This Gundog Bites Back

The smartest bit is how much animal language is packed into a machine this small. The legs are thin, jointed, and slightly splayed, more deer than dog, which fits the builder’s lore perfectly. Each foot feels like it could pick through rubble without wasting motion, while the low sensor cluster keeps the silhouette predatory. I also love the big cylindrical recoil assembly under the gun; it gives the whole thing believable weight without turning the drone into a brick with legs.

Because this is a digital build, kotkoozya can lean into a very precise military-model vocabulary. The dark gray layering, clipped-on armor, and little greebles around the weapon mount make the gundog read as field equipment first and robot second. The custom Sluban-inspired parts help push that gritty near-future flavor, but the composition still feels unmistakably LEGO: small pieces doing very specific jobs.

The included rubble barriers and minifig scale reference are doing real work too. Suddenly this is not just a cool walker; it is a nasty little ambush scenario, the kind where the quiet pile of debris is absolutely not just a pile of debris.

And yes, the builder calls it "yet another tablescrap," which is the sort of unfair throwaway line that makes the rest of us stare at our own tablescraps and sigh dramatically.
