Vertaro’s Aren’t You A Little Short For An A-Wing? wins me over before the first brick is even inspected, because that title is doing elite nerd work. A microscale A-wing is already a fun challenge: the ship is basically all speed, wedge, and attitude, so shrinking it down means every angle has to count. If the silhouette is not sharp, the whole thing falls apart fast.
What I like here is the sense of refinement. This is an improved version of a December build, made just before heading off for college, and it still managed to take a LUG contest win. That is a great little builder story. Sometimes distance from your collection makes the urge to build stronger, and this feels like one of those compact comeback models that proves you do not need a huge parts spread to make something satisfying. Small ship, clean tweaks, contest victory, and hopefully more posts on the horizon. That is a pretty good flight plan.
