František Hajdekr has a knack for the sort of LEGO build that makes you grin because it does so much with so little. How to Build a Small Lego Wheeled Excavator is exactly that kind of model. At just 21 to 23 parts, this little machine is stripped down to the essentials, but it still manages to look unmistakably like an excavator, which is half the magic of tiny utility builds.

What I really like here is the commitment to function. The turntable moves, the boom moves, and even at this compact scale the model keeps the core play pattern intact. That is smart design. It is easy to make something small. It is harder to make something small that still feels satisfying as a vehicle. This one sounds like a perfect desk-scale construction rig, the kind of build that could hook a newer builder or delight an older one who appreciates clever part economy. Sometimes the best MOCs are not the biggest ones. Sometimes they are the ones that quietly show just how far a handful of bricks can go.
