Baby Mario is already one of Nintendo’s most aggressively adorable ideas, so naturally ABrickDreamer went straight for the softest possible LEGO lane: the AdoraBuild contest’s Cuddly Characters category. This little plumber has the kind of rounded, toy-shelf charm that makes you want to hear the Yoshi’s Island music immediately.
What works here is the balance between mascot accuracy and brick-built squishiness. Baby Mario needs those oversized features to read properly, but push them too far and he turns into a bobblehead. ABrickDreamer keeps him compact and characterful, with the familiar cap-and-overalls silhouette doing a lot of heavy lifting. It is a small build, but it has that nice “I could actually pick this up” quality that makes LEGO character models feel especially fun.
Bonus points for tying it into a tutorial video, because cute MOCs are even better when the builder leaves a trail of breadcrumbs for the rest of us.
