Some LEGO theme names come with their own imaginary guitar riff. Extreme Team is absolutely one of them. Give me that late-’90s Town energy, an unnecessarily adventurous afternoon, and a vehicle that probably needs a waiver. I’m in.
Builder atp357 taps into that territory with Extreme Team Catamaran, a fan-built tribute whose subject feels right at home with the theme’s action-sports attitude. A catamaran is a neat choice: why settle for one hull when you can take two out for a little recreational showing off?
What hooks me here is the premise. Revisiting a classic LEGO theme doesn’t have to mean rebuilding an old set; it can mean imagining another adventure for its little plastic daredevils. The retro Town connection gives this MOC its nostalgic starting point, while the boat supplies a fresh excuse to head outdoors. Or, in my case, commandeer the dining table. Extreme sports, extremely convenient parking.
